What do I do to connect to the internet using my Galaxy S GT-i9000

Hi All,

Sorry i'm a bit thick when it comes to mobile technology. I want to be able to use my new Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000, to access the internet when away from my wireless network. What do I need to do to set it up, so for example if i'm out in the car and need to check something on ebay what do I need to do.

Help please, I have not got a clue.

You have to make sure that unde Settings->Wireless and network->Mobile networks you set the the Network Mode to "GSM/WCDMA (auto mode)" and have your operator's GPRS/3G settings selected in Access Point Names (e.g.: "Orange Internet"). You can add a new APN using the option menu (left button) with the settings from you operator if they aren't added automatically.

If you're not sure about the APN settings than look in the Market for the app that contains the APN settings for your country.
