I'm not sure if I'm looking in all the right places, but I just can't seem to find any app that allows my Streak to play DIVx movies.

Is there one available? or will it never function on our devices?

I've got loads of Movies converted from my DVD's and would love to be able to play them.. :)

DivX works on Android! The Samsung Galaxy S is DivX HD certified even! This answer the title of your thread! :)

Now about the Streak... RockPlayer Play almost anything really good! There are some HD MKV files that lag a lot but not so much!

Can you point us to a vile that the RockPlayer doesn't play? Or upload it somewhere?

It uses the codecs on the device so not a good idea!

For the moment I know only one player that uses its own codecs and this is RockPlayer

Think the VLC people are busy with an Android version of the VLC player so gotta wait for this program :)

At least there seems something happening.

I've just tried Rockplayer again with Transformers II and it'll 'attempt' to play in normal mode but it's so pixellated it's just not funny.

The picture is only about a quarter of the screen size as well.

It won't even play in 'system' mode it just bins out and goes back to the folder menu.

What's the difference between the 2 modes?

Normal mode uses the Player's codecs and System mode uses the device codecs!

CorePlayer may be the answer soon enough, their forum has one of the developers saying they are finishing up on some Java audio coding because of skipping in some devices.

I hope so I used tcmp on my old wm pda and that player had all the codecs. I was even able to stream over my wireless lan. Thats the one feature I miss most, streaming my divx library

Are you on 1.6? I noticed Rockplayer didn't stretch the video very well in that version. On 2.2 it runs smooth as silk with smooth stretching and everything. Also make sure you get the armv7 version from the website, the universal one on the market is less optimized.

more good news! glad to see we're getting more options

My mistake! But it is still slower than RockPlayer! Much slower!

Vplayer works fine for me (on 02 2.1) just some high bit rate videos show tearing but other than that, flv's ripped from youtube and other flash sites are great!
