Orange browser freezes on page load with data connection, repair or replace?

The pre-installed browser app I have is working fine over wifi, but over any kind of gprs/edge connection it gets stuck and won't load any page... other apps can send and recieve data without issues.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Otherwise what would be the recommended alternative browser? If i do install a different browser, where do i set it as default for launching when clicking on a link? I can't find that setting anwhere :S

Your stock Orange blade with an Orange sim with credit?

I presume when using the other apps it shows the data connection icon in the notification bar (G/3g/3g+)?

1st - try reset of browser. go into browser > press menu > settings > reset to default (this will clear ALL browser data).

Dolphin Browser HD or Steel are very good. Personally I use a mix of stock browser and Steel - I'm rooted with custom rom though - but the Orange browser is just the stock browser with some minor tweaks.

You can also try Opera mini (Fastest browser using 2g/EDGE) and Skyfire (Can play some videos)

I don't see how a faulty phone will only affect the stock bowser though
