Guest spanner44 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 When I did my phone I followed the Ultimate Pulse Owners Guide and Update with pictures Guide as well as looking at the posts in the FLB mod topic as well (as this is what I was installing). You can find the first two in the Pinned Topics, and the FLB mod in the Forum Topics of this Pulse section of the Forum. I was new at this, and still am and managed to root my phone, the Huawei U8230, and install the FLB v1.7 mod in the first go, I just took my time and followed the steps bit by bit, it is all very well explained so you should have no problems. Hope this Helps
Guest suriya83 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) i think it is a problem with amon ra... i have RA-pulse-v1.5.2 when it opens it says E:Can't find MISC: E:Can't mount CACHE:recovery/command and everything i do it says E:Can't find MISC: E:Can't mont Cache:recovery/log E:Cab't open CACHE:recovery/log someone knows this by the way can you tell me how did you root your phone? i'm getting quite crazy or can i install clockwork recovery in some way without beeing rooted? Guest spanner44 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 I can't remember the exact way i did it, but I just read and then followed the two guides I mentioned earlier, I think if I am correct, I did the one with pictures first and then after did the ultimate guide as I was installing the FLB mod and this explained how to do it. Have a look through those topics and then try the stages it mentions. I am afraid I am also a newbie as well at this, so I can't help you with the problems that you specifically mention, but I am sur you will find the answer in those topics. If not perhaps try a new thread asking for specific help on just the Rooting or on the existing problem that you have.
Guest AntonioPT Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 You really SHOULD NOT installed the TRE ROM on your U8230. Why do people keep telling U8230 users to install UK/TRE ROMS? The partition layouts are very different from one phone to another and flashing TRE/UK on a U8230 can brick the phone! The U8230 has a bigger internal partition, so as long as some 2.1 U8230 ROM is installed, every ROM (FLB-MOD, J-MOD, Cyanogen 6) should fit on the phone. suriya83: Reflash your original U8230 2.1 ROM. If you don't have it, here's a link for the 2.1 ROM from my carrier (TMN from Portugal). Then reinstall Amon_RA and then just install FLB-MOD 1.7. With FLB your phone will be rooted and you will have the ability to save your apps on the SD card, ...
