MoDaCo 22/Oct r9 WIP with Clockworkmod (unrevoked method)

Hello,

I was just wondering, i used the unrevoked method to flash my HTC Desire (GSM) with another mod, but now i wanna try MoDaCo's mod on my phone and wondering, is it possible for me to just go into clockwork recovery screen and flash the phone through there? Or do i need do perform the fastboot steps etc first?

The file i wan't to flash is: r9-bravo-desire-modacocustomrom-withadditions-signed.zip

Yes mate it should be fine if you can just go in to Clockwork Recovery, but make sure you do a Nandroid Backup first, and make sure you rename the file you want to "update.zip", then flash it.

Always do a Nandroid backup first just in case things go wrong, or if you flash then you remember you've forgot to back up something.

Thx for the info, i'll try that, btw, i flashed the first time without nandroid backup the stock system, is it possible in the future to restore this phone to stock?

Just flash a RUU and it will be completely stock.

Superthanks for the info, the rom rocks btw and everything worked flawlessly. Very easy though required some patiance and just let the phone work in peace :))

Just for future reference you do not have to rename to update.zip to flash from Clockwork. You can just leave the file name as it is and choose flashfile from sdcard instead of flash update.zip. Also if you are moving between different ROMs you may have problems if you don't wipe your cache and data first.
