Guest chicarito Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 At the moment im using the touchwiz 3 launcher but find that it frequently gets buggy, anyone else having the same problem? I've read many times that launcher pro is the best but that also gets buggy and i liked the look of the touchwiz, anyone know of any other launcher?

Guest abbas_sheikh Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 ADW and Launcher Pro are both THE BEST, but sometimes its personal choice. I used ADW for a while now I am using LauncherPro and finding it better to *my* needs and slightly faster/responsive. I suggest you try both for a couple of days atleast and decide which one suits you.
Guest Azurren Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) Honestly after trying both I don't see what people see in ADW :) Launcher pro is faster and smoother. The only thing that I can see people would like about ADW is the horizontal sliding app tray. But android designed it to scroll vertically for a reason: It's better. Yes Launcher pro is getting more and more bloated. But it's still the best Edited November 1, 2010 by Azurren
Guest Pq2son2 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 Anyone think about MIUI Port?? :) It's awesome, some devices has MIUI Port (as Nexus, Desire, HD2 and some Motorola)... maybe is possible create for SF.
Guest seekr Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 I tried everything. Launcher Pro definitely. It is the smoothest, even compared with stock launcher!
Guest chicarito Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 so i take it no one has tried touchwiz 3?
Guest Seagull81 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 I tried everything. Launcher Pro definitely. It is the smoothest, even compared with stock launcher! I've just set that one as default on my wife's San Fran, much smoother than the default Orange set-up.
Guest zed2012 Posted November 1, 2010 Report Posted November 1, 2010 ADW or Launcher Pro BUT Launcher Pro gets my vote, I have used them both for a while on a couple of different android phones and think it is alot more customisable and super fast ... even faster with the froyo alpha and transitions on super fast .. :)
Guest bear807 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 so i take it no one has tried touchwiz 3? i used them but i think it was a differnet one, becauses so many of them are avaliable. mine works ok not bad quite smooth but not as smooth as launcherpro , launchepro sometimes is slow for me too, just keep using task killer once in awhile
Guest deweylewie Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 I've tried 3: Orange Launcher/homescreen - Slowest ADW - Not as slow but still laggy when flying through the app drawer although it does have really good customisation and settings menu Launcher Pro - Fastest, no arguments
Guest Sere83 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Yeah +1 for launcher pro. Super snappy and so customizable.
Guest seekr Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 so i take it no one has tried touchwiz 3? I tried touchwiz 3... not as smooth as smooth as ADW with touchwiz style drawer and noticeably slower than Launcher Pro.
Guest nissan3 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 I tried touchwiz 3... not as smooth as smooth as ADW with touchwiz style drawer and noticeably slower than Launcher Pro. Just gone from ADW to Laucher Pro which is faster and a lot smoother.
Guest Bas-Tyra Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 +1 for Launcher pro ... been using it since Paul's R3 ROM and now the 2.2 alpha ROM ..
Guest jt! Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 just taken to using launcher pro, its awesome, only issue i have is that if i reboot the phone it never remembers which launcher im using and i have to reselect it.

Guest booster22 Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Install the App HOME Switcher Cheers steven, didnt cross my mind id need an app. thanks
Guest tijnam Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Cheers steven, didnt cross my mind id need an app. thanks or go to manage applications in settings, choose the launcher you are using, then press the button "clear default setting" , then when you go back to the home screen , you will be prompted to select again. ps try this - with launcher pro and ADW , the speed setting on scrolling etc are set too high by default , try slowing them down , you get a much nicer smoother effect on the animations

But it's still the best LOL Agreed...Launcher Pro has way better Memory Management Than HTC SENSE, Much Much SMoother & more customizable ADW jus looks a bit nicer
