I read some websites about the Acer Liquid E is a 1GHz CPU (Hardware). Acer lockdown the speed to 768Mhz (software locked) for battery life. Now, is there anyway to unlock the CPU speed to 1Ghz?

you need the OC Kernel with 998Mhz.

Yes there is a way to ''unlock'' your liquid to allow this feature.

Only certain kernels running certain ROMs can overclock.
