Guest wyxwyx Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 What is the reason? I saw the rotation sensor stops working. Any solution without restart?
Guest XsCode Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Please learn to use the search button before starting a new thread, this problem has been reported many times. The reason seems to be programs that force an orientation (eg angry birds), when you exit them it doesn't restart the rotation driver. No working solution at the moment. What is the reason? No working solution at the moment. I haven't actually experienced the stuck-requiring-a-reboot rotation problem. I do notice the orientation sticking a bit after angry birds, but rotating the phone left and right quickly (like jiggling a doorknob) fixes that without a reboot.
Guest adzman808 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 When this happens, go to settings/display and toggle the auto rotation (ie untick retick the option) This usually fixes it with no reboot Remember you're using a custom rom created by a (brilliant, decent) bloke from the internet & these little bugs do occur.... Winmo users get 'em as standard tho :))

I think it is very important thing and difficult to find the solution in a big mass of this topics! If you dont want to answer this, dont do but please dont tell me off! Unfortunately, the retick option does not work. Edited November 2, 2010 by wyxwyx
Guest adzman808 Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 Unfortunately, the retick option does not work. sorry to hear it doesn't work... i've had this issue maybe 3 times (in 2 weeks) & so far has always worked for me.... i dont use many auto rotate apps tho'
Guest gilrad Posted November 2, 2010 Report Posted November 2, 2010 In my experience, juggling/reticking works with the exception of orientation sticking after opening youtube. That tends to require a restart.

Guest XsCode Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 I think it is very important thing and difficult to find the solution in a big mass of this topics! how difficult is it to enter "stuck rotation" into a search box? If you dont want to answer this, dont do but please dont tell me off! Not telling anyone off, just offering some friendly advice to save you the time and hassle of creating a new thread for something that has already been discussed.
