Guest lycrawearer Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Has anybody managed to set the IE homepage to anything other than Orange ? If so - how did you do it ? My problem -- I updated phone using the Danish update - glad I did - but since then every time I access Internet Explorer, it immediately brings up a list of favourites ... (I guess that's because there is no homepage set) .. All I want to do is tell it to remember the Orange home page ... any idea's ? Is it a setting stored in the registry somewhere ? Thanks lycrawearer
Guest Bazz Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 IE always shows the favourites list when launched directly. My guess is that you used to use the Orange Icon, which took you to the Orange page. Just create a customized home screen with a link oif your "home page". Alternatively try creating links in the Start Menu and launch IE with that. Haven't tried this so not sure if this will work.
Guest lycrawearer Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 Cheers ! Wondered why .. now I know :-) lycrawearer
Guest yatpeak Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I think that a homepage would be a waste of time and money as you would have to wait for it to come up and pay for th ememory usage (or time usage on dial-up). Wyatt
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 Unless its a page you regulary access, which is normal for a homepage. You might even be able to assign an IE icon to the shortcut. A long while back somone went through the numbers associated with the icons and found a few, can't remember if it was herer on modaco or on the MS newsgroups though...
