Vastly more experienced 'Droiders,

I don't know what the hell I have done here but hopefully it'll be obvious to one of you. I can no longer activate the lock screen manually When the screen has 'timed out' of it's own accord, a press of the power button will wake/put it back to sleep. Once it's awake however, the power button 'shove' just pops up the flight mode/power off etc. options. What the hell have I done??? This is driving the retentive in me to distraction! Yours in very gratefull anticipation!

A very quick press should put it into instant lock, a longer press will bring up that menu

Are you lingering on the button ?

Using "spare parts" there's an option to change "end button behavior".

I'd have a go with that as a first try :)

Nope :) I had it long enough working as per to know how it should opperate. Running r4 custom rom if that makes a difference. May be my imagination but it all seems to coincide with my recent installation of Launcher Pro, as I was 'fettling' it yesterday... Thanks for the reply btw.

You sir, are a star - have a virtual pat on the back! It was indeed the 'end button behaviour'. Didn't notice I'd changed it to 'do nothing'. All is once again right with the world! :( Right you lot, move on - nothing to see here :)
