BUT i THINK you want the gallery only to show pix you want to see, ie not every single image file on the phone (my gallery used to display the .png files from a 3rd party music player) am i right..??? if so i THINK the fix is too tick the folder(s) you DON'T want in the gallery & select delete... i'm 95% sure this just deletes them from the gallery & not the phone... in case i'm an idiot (....) set up a folder on your SD card, with some image files that you have backed up, then brwose to them in the gallery & 'delete' them as i describe above you SHOULD find that they are gone from the gallery but remain on the SD card... at least this worked for me...

Hi, the way to go is in every folder that you do not want to show up, create blank file called .nomedia (note the . at the beginning of the file name, you have to have it). That will tell the gallery to not look for photos/movies there. Most third party apps do that for you anyway, but some don't :) It may be easier if you mount your SD Card on your PC and do it from there :) Hope that helps. Regards, S

Guest popetodd Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Brilliant, I've been wondering what the trick was myself!
