Guest Freekers Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 I found these clips on YouTube of the Blade running some 3D games, but I would love to see some more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P07JPq2-nSI Please note that games will run better once we have (a more stable) Froyo on our ZTE Blade So please Dear Blade users, make some videos of the Blade running 3D games and put them on YouTube.. I can't do it before this weekend, since I am still awaiting to receive it. However, if I have it, I will make some videos and put them on YouTube. PS: You seem to have a Blade yourselves too. why don't you just try them out ? Trails are available in Market...

Not sure about the other games though.
Guest The Soup Thief Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Armageddon Squadron and Forge 3D run absolutely fine on my Hero so no doubt they will run fine on this baby. Not sure about the other games though. I played the demo of Forge 3d - it ran fine and looked pretty good but I found it a little unresponsive so uninstalled it after a couple of plays - bear in mind though it's pretty old, and I was running it on the stock ROM. Plus I'm not a big gamer so it didn't take much to put me off...
Guest Fulch Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 Made a quick list of what I've tried, I'm running the 2.2 Alpha: Angry Birds - Smooth the majority of the time but can get a little bit jerky when you knock a large amount of stuff over Asphalt 5 - Runs very well, little bit slow to load though Assassin's Creed - Runs great, not jerky at all Babo Crash - My personal favourite, runs like a dream Dungeon Hunter - Very smooth when playing game, videos did not display for me though Fruit Ninja - Not as smooth as it was on 2.1 (possibly due to hardware acceleration being turned on), runs reasonably well but you will notice jerkiness when slicing 3 or more fruit Hawx - Runs perfectly, no jerkiness at all Modern Combat Sandstorm - Whilst it did run there were texture issues, the textures would only load when you were very close to the object - playable but not acceptable for me Raging Thunder 2 - Runs well, not as fun as Asphalt in my opinion though Reckless Racing - Runs great, not jerky and brilliant fun to play I will edit this and add others as I try them :)
Guest Freekers Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Froyo highly improves the way how games run. A lot of the games above run very crappy on 2.1 ! Edited November 3, 2010 by Freekers

Do you get the issue of some images showing as white?
Guest Fulch Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Do you get the issue of some images showing as white? Yeah, I got it on 2.1 as well. There is definitely something up with the game on the SF. Whenever you use one of the birds that are supposed to explode then the actual explosion doesn't show up - however the game still behaves like it happened. Based on this and the issue I had with Modern Combat, I'm guessing it might be a driver issue but I'm certainly no expert. Other than that the game runs well and is great fun :)
