Help.Cannot download from Market/Appbrain

As the title says.For the last couple of days I have been unable to download anything from the Market and AppBrain.

When I go to the downloads screen there is a heading saying "currently downloading" the the couple of items I am trying to download as well as a couple of updates.

Each one has "starting to download" under it but that is far as it gets.Does not matter how long I leave it they still do not reach my phone.

I can download from other places,Zedge for intstance.

Any ideas what is wrong?

I have had the SF for around three weeks and have not had this kind of problem before.

It's not the phone, as such - the market has been playing up a lot recently. I had the same issue on my Galaxy S and my SF.

Its been three days since I have been able to download.

Is this usual ?

If you've not already tried, cancel the downloads and try installing again.

I had the same problem with my SF last week. I think clearing the app cache (settings > applications > manage applications > market > clear cache) fixed it for me

This is a *very* common problem, not only in the SF. What people does is to start the Google Talk app and then retry the download.

I also found that you can't use the market in some public wifi hotspots, but I don't understand exactly why.

Oh, I remember now, I tried a few things including what I said earlier, but I think forcing my account to sync with google actually fixed the issue.

Check the account syncsettings from the main main settings menu is set to autosync, try downloading from the store again (turn sync back off afterwards if you disabled it to save battery etc)

The method martinml highlighted probably works too, I'd bet that it forces a sync in the background

I have just made things worse.

I have mistakenly uninstalled the Market Place app.?

Any idea how/where I can download it?
