Guest Pia23 Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) Hi, seem to be having an annoying issue with my touch screen. When the screen sleeps and i press power to turn it on, i can't unlock the screen unless i press the menu button a few times which seems to kick it into action Also sometimes when i'm on my homescreen and i click an icon i have to wiggle my finger and press quite hard to get it to load. I am definitely having to press harder than i used to. But when in my app drawer it seems pretty smooth?? CPU constantly running at 95%-99% not sure if it's the same issue but it feels sluggish for sure. This morning was annoying when i was trying to turn off my alarm and nothing would happen, i had to take the battery out to stop it. Using LauncherPro... Uninstalled Orange Homescreen... I rooted but then undid it with Univeral Androot. Edited November 3, 2010 by Pia23
Guest Eclogue Posted November 3, 2010 Report Posted November 3, 2010 I would guess it's the CPU at 95% causing the issue. I sometimes get the random high CPU use 'bug', which gives me similar symptoms. Don't ask me why, but the recommendation to open the camera app and then open the camera options panel at the top seems to fix it, the CPU then drops and everything becomes responsive again.

Thanks, pain in the backside as camera takes an age to load, but using OS monitor i've just rebooted and then watched it go from 99% to 20-38% by doing that. How strange :) :) Still, the unlocking is hit and miss, i've had to turn off the pattern as it was even more irritating trying to connect 4 dots when it fails to register the touch all the time, and the standard unlock swipe is slow but less painful.
