Guest dareal Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) first of all, sorry for my crappy english. after i woke up i just saw that my phone is totaly frozen. i had to take out its battery. after i put it back and started up the phone, everything was messed up. my home screen widgets were messed up, i had a calculator widget on which one was not activated before. my compass went crazy as well, sometimes its shows north to south (already re-calibrated it, and its still going crazy sometimes) my compass applications and gps applications locations switching from my real actual location to beijing then back to my real location and back to beijing again. from the settings/language menu the english(hungarian) option is missing (used it before) and there is simple hungarian only. htc weather is switching from beijing to my actual location then back, within a minute (i choosed current location in its setup). already reflashed my phone with r9 custom (used r9 custom before), flashed the latest radio rom but my problem still exits. what the hell is wrong with my phone? im going to be crazy if i choose automatic - network provided values in date/time its set my time zone to gmt +8 (china) as well. Guest dareal Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 reflash and make a full wipe before (in recovery select factory data reset) with kind regards..Alex thanks for your reply. i think i know what caused it. it was caused by our new wifi apns at the office. we just got some new apns and the mac addresses of the new apns were not "registered" yet to that location (wireless location, google can use our wifi apn mac addresses for location detection). as they were come from china i guess they were still registered in china. when the phone was on the office's wlan, its always showed beijing as my current location. on 3g its just changed back to my real location. at home, on my own wifi network it stays on my real current location. already reported the apn's mac addresses to google's wifi mac (google has a report form for that). btw ill do a full wipe and a reinstall, because that missing language still annoying me :)
