Guest lpinho Posted November 4, 2010 Report Posted November 4, 2010 (edited) Hi all, I've got a Nokia bluetooth headset, and in all the Nokia mobiles I click once for about 2 sec. the mobile awakes and waits for me to say something (usually someones name) and I can drive and make calls without even taking my mobile from my pocket or (more important) take my eyes off the road. Is there anything similar in android? Is it just available for 2.2? Is there any good application that provides this feature? Does this application do the trick? (http://www.appbrain.com/app/vlingo:-words-to-action/com.vlingo.client) Give me your feedback please Thanks, L. Pinho Edited November 4, 2010 by lpinho
Guest lpinho Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Doesn't anyone have this problem?
Guest oh!dougal Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Doesn't anyone have this problem? It doesn't affect the playing of Angry Birds! :) Its a useful *phone* function, but I agree, it looks like the free "Car" addon to the free Vlingo requires 2.2 ... Android is still "a work in progress" and we need to be patient for just a little bit longer for the 2.2 source release - after which I expect the floodgates will open and we will be drowned with different flavours of 2.2 ...

Yep, no affect on Angry Birds :) Thanks for the reply oh!, I tried several applications yesterday (3 or 4) and came to the sad conclusion that to have speech capability using bluetooth, version 2.2 is required... Dammm... double dammm Now, I really want froyo on SF Thanks again
