Guest kasuku Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 I've picked up this 160x120 clip that claims to be 201 kbps at 12 fps and windows media property screen says that it is wm9 audio and wm7 video. This video is totally smooth with no lagging at all. The clip is 3 minutes and is 3 MB so i don't know if I should believe the bitrate. Now I've encoded a few 70kbps clips with the encoding settings in the tips forum and I get lagg frequently and the quality doesn't seem so good. so i'm thinking WTF :!: Is there any way to analyse this magic clip further so that i can use the same setting for my videos? I can always send this video to anyone here if they wanna have a look and maybe compare with their encodings.
Guest kasuku Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 ................. errr maybe i should not have offered the clip .......... yet .......... i'm worried about copyright issues and stuff ............. its a clip of Pink - Family Portrait incase some people were getting high expectations. I will consider sending the clip to the site regulars
Guest boden01 Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 (edited) Could you send it to me I would like to take a look: Thanks Edited November 16, 2009 by boden01
Guest fozzie Posted February 7, 2003 Report Posted February 7, 2003 These settings here will give you almost that rate. I've used them a few times and they work well for me :)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 kasku: email address in my profile if you could. Cheers :)
Guest kasuku Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 cheers fozzie .......... i think your post just might explain it. I have windows media encoder 7.... can i still encode with those settings posted?
Guest fozzie Posted February 24, 2003 Report Posted February 24, 2003 Unfortunately not. You need to use Windows Media Encoder 9.
