cannot enter recovery mode

Since water damage am unable to enter rec mode have reflashed to stock and back to r2 to no avail. Have tried fastboot several times installed ok but keep getting reboots. All sensors down but phone gps xms wifi working. Are there other ways to update new roms other than clockwork? All updates are geared for clockwork mode HELP. PS cant afford to buy replacement

Sorry forgot to sat mcri works fine using fastboot. Any help greatly appreciated sorry if this boring to the gurus

you need to wipe the system partition

you say you can enter fastboot mode

type this command when in fastboot

fastboot erase system -w

after that you can fastboot the firmware you want the same way you have been flashing mcri

though i get the feeling you may be flashing though the custom recovery :S??

Many thanks for replay.Have allready done a clean wipe, and cannot get into recovery mode(Android logo then black screen then logo agan).

1. wiped everythig including sd card

2fastbooted stock rom (Still can not enter rec mode)

3 fastbooted pauls rom r2 (Perfect)

4 fastbooted super/clkmod/reboot (same issue)

5 Installed rom manager, quick boot (downloaded clockmod, rrboot and run, same issue)

I me either completely dumb, or the phone is really damaged, or ime missing something (if so first point)

Any help would be most welcome, Sorry for being a painful noob

You could try

fastboot boot <recovery image>

rather than

fastboot flash recovery <recovery image>

this should boot recovery directly rather than loading it from the recovery partition

also assuming your phone is rooted (use universal root if not) you could try su in terminal and run flash_image recovery <recovery image>

in addition if you can find someone who will send you a nandroid of their system with the rom you want to update to you should be able to do

fastboot flash system <system nandroid.img>

Thank you rmj2k have tried fastboot boot (clockwork) but still stays on green logo. I very much appreciate your help with this
