Guest rjm2k Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Just in case you miss this in the old battery thread, I may have secured a channel for spare batteries directly from ZTE, they would have to send boxes of 15 units with a price of roughly £15 - £20 per unit by the time it's delivered to you (waiting for confirmation on total price) Anyone interested?
Guest meinnit Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Stick it on eBay..I'm sure they'll sell very well!
Guest Nirva Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 I would be interested after some positive reviews about the quality and reliability of the delivery....
Guest Poderr Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 I'd have at least one, if they were £15 each I'd probably take two. As the above poster said, you'll shift a load of these on ebay...

Guest Stryke69 Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Are these batteries any better than the original ZTE?

Guest anything-but Posted November 6, 2010 Report Posted November 6, 2010 I`ll be in for at least one. Motorcycle courier so i`m always using the gps during the day and when i`m waiting for work i`m on the `net,so sometimes it cuts it a bit fine with charge at the end of the day!
Guest Blasphemous Posted November 6, 2010 Report Posted November 6, 2010 I'd rather have a high capacity battery and a new back if required rather than having to switch batteries.
Guest seekr Posted November 6, 2010 Report Posted November 6, 2010 A charger for the spare battery would be great. I guess it shouldn't be to hard to make one ourselves using existing compatible chargers. Anyone has experience in this?

Or rather, the difficulty is in making CERTAIN that the battery being charged doesn't explode or catch fire.

I see your point - and my knowledge in lithium electronics/chemstry is borderline none - but I mean taking a existing non-explosion-prone desktop charger such as this which has similar specs to our battery and modify it's pins to suit us...

Sorry to hijack guys. Just a quick question, I see you've got giffgaff seekr, what's it like on the Blade? Do you maintain a decent signal? I'm currently on O2 with 600 minutes (I never use them all), 1600 texts (ditto my last comment), and truly unlimited data. I pay £20 a month on a month by month basis (as I'm now out of contract), but I've been pondering the £10 giffgaff deal. I think the 150 minutes will be enough and the text and data will obviously be enough. One question on that though, does the unlimited texts include MMS? Currently an MMS takes about 4 or so of my texts allowance (which is fine), and thus there is no additional charge. I'm just wondering if giffgaff operate a similar system or if you have to pay for MMS separately.
