A guy has built the new YouTube app for 2.1, you can get that here:

I've not tried it, but it should work on the Blade..

The YouTube app at xda worked for me for a day or so but then started to Force Close all the time.

By all means try it but keep a copy of your old YouTube app incase you need to go back!
