[ROM] Roggin's CM6.1 Build(Based on Xian's device tree)

Hello everybody,

I spend several days to build a new CM6.1 ROM. It's based on Xian's CM device tree, Koudelka's CM build and Phh's kernel(Big thanks to Xian, Phh, Koudelka and many other contributors).

In this ROM, I have fixed the light and proximity sensor, and also spend long time to fix the camera FC issue(camera no logger FC). Now, it almost all functionality except the camcorder.

The performance in this ROM is so amazing. Here is the benchmark score with 1036MHz kernel.

Ok, There are several buggy things reported.

1. Twitter can't be installed (Thanks CedricGatay, Quipeace and koudelka teach me how to fix)

2. Proximity sensor seems not working (Thanks demura, Jzhou, and simoneser) -> I will increase the distance threshold

3. BlueTooth things(Thanks mmkim and yegouzi) -> I will check what's wrong with bluetooth.

4. DHCP not to work(Thanks Andy__P and barmyman) -> That's strange, I'll check.

Update:

Sorry for late, v1.1 is available now, in this version I fixed following:

1. Twitter and some apps using goggle services can be installed without error(Thanks CedricGatay, Quipeace and koudelka teach me how to fix)

2. Proximity sensor is sensitive now(I use a new method to detect threshold)

3. BlueTooth audio is working fine

4. Camcoder is working now

5. Green preview in camera using 500M is no longer exit.

Update:

Sorry for late, v1.2 is available now, in this version I fixed following:

1. Menu unlock only if you set true in CM config

2. Camcoder use h264 encoder(High performance) and support 480p or WVGA(800*480) resolution

3. Notification LED become slow blinking mode

4. using the last leak necessary libs

Update:

Good news :) , this is the beta update to support wifi-tether, you should flash v1.2 first.

in this update I fixed following:

1. support froyo wi-fi tether.

2. turn off wi-fi no longer reboot.

know bug:

1. you should apply wifi tether check box twice to enable it. I'll fix it the some days.

Hmm, it looks like vibrate is on by default? That's all I noticed so far, as I forgot to wipe before flashing >.>

I'll update this post asap :).

EDIT: Alright, couple of things.

ADW shows Dutch labels for applications, problem solved with LauncherPro.

The second thing is that the official Twitter for Android application doesn't show up in the market.

I also ran Quadrant Advanced, which revealed that the Nexus is quite alot faster handling CPU tasks, while we're a little faster rendering 2D scenes. The rest is pretty much the same. Total score 1099 @ 1036MHz.

Overall the rom feels quite smooth, although I do miss the MIUI eyecandy. I'll live with that though, the rom is great.

I can't get the calibration value of proximity sensor, so I use a very small value as threshold. So, maybe more closer to the phone.

1.Yes, I will push the code to Xian's CM tree, but because the code is about android PowerManagerService, CM maybe won't accept the patch.

2.No, I forgot to push the map permissions, It's my bad. :)

No, Official wifi tethering need kernel support. I think Xian is working on it.

Pushing maps.jar and features.xml / maps.xml into permissions fixed the twitter thing (probably something else)

Wifi tethering made the phone reboot :)

Disabling haptic feedback doesn't work so I've resolved with koudelka no vibrate kernel
