Guest marcjordan Posted November 6, 2010 Report Posted November 6, 2010 Hi all, Has anybody ever had to send their phone off to LG for repair and if so what was the service like? I bricked mine doing the baltic upgrade and sent it off as i couldnt get to come back to life following all the help given on here. That was nearly 3 weeks ago. After many many messages chasing up LG, they fobbed me off saying it was with a company called SBE who are the official repairer and if i have any issues i should take it up with them. I found SBE after a google search and their website is written in French and after a bit of translation i found the repairs page where my phone was listed as being with an engineer and awaiting a component. A new component to repair a software fault? Anyway, ive tried emailing them to see if they can estimate a repair time and thus far have had no response. So back i go to LG, who i thought might show even a slither of concern, but no. Basically, they couldnt give a **** and told me to go back to the previously unresponsive SBE. Frankly im getting a bit fed up with the whole saga. I admit that i broke the phone but that doesnt excuse poor customer service does it? Has anybody else experienced this or is it just me? I was led to believe it was a 5 day turnaround and its now closer to 21. Was i deluded to think things might run smoothly and professionally with such a big company as LG?
