Guest mwright Posted November 6, 2010 Report Posted November 6, 2010 All, I am still a bit of a noob when it comes to Android - so please forgive if this is completely obvious! I have had m DHD for a week now and have played with it, installed far too many things, generally messed it up and now I want to start again just installing what I actually use and tweaking it the way I want. I have seen the "Factory Data Reset" in Settings but not sure if this is the right thing. So - how can I return the device to the way I got it? Can I safely format the SD card (bearing in mind that there was quite a lot on there when I got the device, manuals etc)? Regards Mike

Regards Mike settings --> factory reset will return your phone to its original state + OTA updates. I would advise against formatting your sd card, you can first connect the phone through USB to your pc and copy all data from it and return just the folders you want after format if you must.. most application folders do not waste too much space, and if you copied music or videos, just use a file manager like "astro file manager" to sort them out.
Guest mwright Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Thanks for the info - will get this done soon (I am still playing atm!) Regards Mike
