Back button LED not flashing for notifications when phone is asleep anymore?

Noticed today that when I miss a call/ text etc.. the green LED isn't flashing on the back button anymore?

Im sure it used to flash even when the phone was in sleep mode, but can anyone confirm please?

Now it flashes away once a text is received but stops the second the screen turns off and locks.

I liked being able to see at a glance in the morning (via the LED) if i had missed a call/ text while the phone was on silent overnight.

Cant seem to find a setting anywhere?

Running r2 ROM currently.

hi guys,

i rooted my phone and i could see the superuser app. i then proceeded to next stage in the video about installing custom rom. I had not seen the note where it said for R4 onwards its the clockworkmode recovery procedure that we need to follow. so all i did was downloaded the R4 zip file, renamed it to mcri-system.tar.gz and copied it onto my sdcard root directory. i then switched on the phone as suggested in the video but now my phone is stuck on the green android man forever. the only way i can power it off is by taking the battery out. the phone is not getting detected when connected to the laptop via USB. when I took the sd card out and read it separately but putting it into a card reader, i saw that the tar.gz. now had a .flashed' extension.

that is the situation as it stands. i'm pretty nervous as to what is going to happen. please help me guys. i will really appreciate any suggestions coming my way. i'm really desparate about getting this sorted.
