GMail doesn't work on 2.2

Hello,

I upgraded to gforums Android 2.2 ROM and it works find, but I cannot access to my GMail account from it.

I am using a 3 sim card without any credit on it and WIFI. WIFI seems work well as I can connect to several web sites via it (for example I can browse to bbc.co.uk).

When I point my browser to gmail.com and enter my username and password, it works fine.

When I am trying to add an account to my system so I can use market, I am getting an error saying: Can not establish a reliable data connection to the server.

I wiped all data and cache and reinstalled 2.2, without any success.

What is the problem and how can I fix it?

Its a problem with the Alpha rom you have to connect using 3G with wifi disabled to Gtalk or Gmail and sync before you are able to use wifi.

i am using 3 sim card. not able to use gmail. i think the gmail and some of the apps are linked to the vodafone sim card

Gmail worked fine on 2.2 for me using a Three UK simcard, although I connected to talk and setup my google account before using any other google services.

You have to do this on 2g / 3g before you can connect with Wifi :)
