Dell Streak is the worst smartphone design I have ever encountered.

Apart from its beta concept design (Would in no way come close to passing my companies design standards) lack of software testing and zero customer support it does nothing that they promised for the business community.

Dell deserve an ass kicking over this fiasco, but do they care no! they have your money and thats it.

If its support you are looking for then you will get better support from Buying a Truss.

Class Action legal suit is needed otherwise Dell will continue to to ask you to pick up the soap (Hence the pain in the Ass you feel everytime you have to deal with Dell)

All in all the Dell Streak does not meet the conditions of the sales of goods act. It is not fit for the purpose its sold. Ask for your money back because its not going to get any better only worse.

iphone sucks, bit like the new windows mobile 7 OS. Microsoft have replicated the iphone only very badly.

If anyone thinks the Dell Streak is great then its pretty sad that people are easily pleased with a poor design.

Flash will be supported in 2.2 froyo, it is not currently supported in 2.1. Streaming is not flash.

there is no flash on 1.6 i agree, and seeming that dell pulled the 2.1 update from their servers it does look quite bad from a new consumer point of view.

but if you had kept upto date with dell streak news you would know that an official 2.2 update is due very soon "with flash".

or you can just flash the BETA rom which has all the 2.2 yummy goodness plus a few extra tweaks from steve.

IMHO there is nothing out there at the moment that even gets close to the streak, I absolutely love it.

And unlike any other so called smartphone it is infinitely customisable and has hardware specs to be envied.

Oh, and us streak owners can see flash websites on a decent size screen, something Mr Jobs has lost sight of completely.

Look, if you aren't up to flashing the current custom Froyo onto your device that's really your problem and not the devices.

Be sure to look both ways on your way out to the street, this intersection is pretty fast... :)

Anybody can put a custom rom on their device but most people don't want to invalidate their warranty or chance bricking their overly expensive new toy.

The fact stands, unless you custom mod your streak it does not currently do flash.

Nice tantrum though, not quite up to what my 5 year old can throw but getting close.

Well very obviously we are not all the same now if your happier with your Desire HD and with its much worse battery life and duller smaller screen that's fine by me have fun i wouldn't swap my Streak to use a Desire HD for anything and i doubt many of us Streak owners that you know are running Froyo 2.2 with Adobe Flash Player 10.1 right now are ever going to agree with your Dell bashing either you may have better luck getting support for your opinions in an HTC based forum so good luck with that as very few if any of us care or agree with you.

I have both desire hd and dell streak

comparing the quality of construction I can say that Dell is luxury....for desire hd I had to sit in the store 1hr to choose one of eight because all had build defects( Power button crooked and too stuffy in the housing ,fingers scratching at the side of housing,battery cover some sitting crooked others had broken clips)...what to say ...I find screen pale compared with Dell...and battery life is horror..enough...

I went back with pleasure at Dell :rolleyes:

when using a 5 "screen you can not go back only if you have a meter and a half and streak"s puts you in the shadows..he he..

Maybe should ask Dell for a blank device, its build still needs be covered by a warranty and if Dell are prepared to sell cheaper than one with an official OS then developers would be happy too. Then it can be modded to your own personal preference.

Dell Suck!!! you can probably narrow that search down to 1,199.999 adult web sites with the Dell Streak.

On my 8th Streak which is faulty, 2 others were collected by Dell 5 weeks ago but now they cannot find them, not prepared to send the faulty one back if they cannot do something as simple as know what they did with my two previous ones. Will be ditching the streak soon as HTC make the Desire HD available or release their Win 7 mobile device.

Not sure if Dell are going to recover the Streak from this PR disaster. Best they stick with watch they are good at! Thats PC’s not terrible customer Services or the care less attitude shown towards It’s customers.
