Guest BGRT Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Didn't find any forum section specific to network operators so apologies if this post shouldn't be here ! Any experience / advice on the following ? I've been trying to login to my Giffgaff account since about 4:30 this morning without any joy. I have tried the reset password option using my email address... nothing. Tried again but with my username... nothing. Tried using a different browser... still nothing. Sent an email and got a reply at ~8:30 telling me 'I have sent a password reminder to your e-mail address' but guess what... no password received (I did check my spam folder) !. Sent another email but no reply and I can't even ask for advice on the users community forum as... I can't bl**dy login ! Needless to say that as a new Giffgaff user, I'm not exactly impressed ! Bern

Guest Broc Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 The picture messaging doesn't seem to work with the ZTE Blade, but I don't know if the phone is at fault or the network.

Guest Broc Posted November 17, 2010 Report Posted November 17, 2010 That's what I'm using, too. One in ten times, it gets through but looks awful - the other nine times, the message has a 'download' button to click but that has never been successful. I see that you're on the Blade, too, TG. Are you using a custom ROM? I'm using seb's r5.

Guest flyingscotno1 Posted November 18, 2010 Report Posted November 18, 2010 I used a Giffgaff SIM in the blade, my 'real sim' sits in the Desire. Comparison is that Giffgaff is not as fast for 3G as T-Mobile and T-Mobile has a better signal in my area (but that varies on where you are). O2 don't have as good a 3G network as 3 and T-Mobile however.
Guest Lew247 Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 (edited) Picture messaging works fine, its nothing to do with the rom itself its the MMS application in the blade that makes it show small pictures. Change the MMS app and it will be fine (search for the app its been talked about in lots of posts) Giffgaff is a great network, I've had no problems and as its actually owned by O2 there never really will be a problem. IF for some reason you cant log in then do the sensible thing and realise that the same as any company servers do go down and you cant get on them (I've never seen the server down but I know it must happen sometimes it does on every site at some stage) go away have a cuppa, go to the shop or whatever and try later on, or if its nighttime go to bed and try in the morning Edited November 23, 2010 by Lew247
