Has anyone bought an additional mains charger or car charger for their SF? I've seen some on ebay but want to get one tried and tested.

If you can help, please provide the link - I want to save money, so no links to Orange :)

Thank you

Richard

I am using Motorola SPN5342A charger (for Motorola RAZR2, V8, V9 phones) with SF and it works fine.

You could probably get something cheap on ebay by searching for RAZR2 charger.

Hah.

Also thought u could take any cheap main/car-charger you wanted in the beginning.

Then i started to realise it took forever to charge the phone.

The thing is with these cheap chargers is that D+ and D- in the charger are not connected with eachother, and that makes the charger charge half the speed it sais on the output of the charger.

The thing you could do is to buy a converter (if you live outside of GB) or get an original charger of any phone that needs to be charge with more than 750mA.

So dont go waste your money on some cheep crap.

Here is a link to chargers that we have tried out with the ZTE Blade

Know of any car chargers (lighter socket) that charge full power?

I have one of these: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/160416

Looks very sleek. I leave mine in permanently and it looks like a stock feature of the car. I hate those massive dildos that poke out from the lighter socket.

EDIT: cheaper here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-BELKIN-MICRO-USB...6f30793ffb921c5

Not used them, but even cheaper from Amazon marketplace

As a spare mains charger, I'm using the one I had from my Samsung Omnia HD

I bought this one when it was only 99p delivered.

It's now £2.49 delivered and still a bargain.

it works perfectly at 0.7a (shows as AC on phone).

Recommended.

Bought an Iphone USB Car Charger from 'Pound Land' (if you have one near you) and got a 1mtr cable off Ebay for 99p.

Tried some of the other options on offer but the output was pathetic and charge times were terrible as in 30 mins driving charged 2% and with sat nav on the charger could not keep up. The pound Land charger returns full charge even with sat nav running. Hope this helps.

I bought a mains charger of ebay and it was extremely slow even though the 'spare parts' app showed AC charging. I have got another via Amazon from ibox ltd 'Black Mains USB Travel Charger', dismantled (easy) and shorted middle two pins on USB socket - this now charges as quickly as the Orange one.

I need a car charger with two USB outlets that gives full charge (AC). Is there such a thing?
