Screen rotation freezes music playback for 1/10sec

I have some strange behavior when playing back music. Each time when I rotate my screen the playback is interrupted (maybe a 10th of a second). It sounds a bit like in the old days when we used CDs and they had a lot of scratches :-)

I have this problem with Paul’s and Sebastian’s ROM and also different players. Does someone have the same issue? Or is there a known solution?
