Guest psychobubble Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 hi, i'm looking for a replacement for my trusty but dying Sony Ericsson K800i.... really the K800i is fine for me, i dont need any other features EXCEPT MAYBE GPS navigation. would the ZTE Blade/Orange San Francisco be the best replacement phone for me, or should i look elsewhere? i have read that the camera is poor but is it any worse than the K800i? does it have proper flash etc? (trying to decide between this and the wildfire atm) thanks. here is the SE K800i screen and camera specs: screen: 2.0” QVGA (240x320 pixels), 262,144 (18-bit) Color TFT LCD camera: 3.2 Megapixel CMOS digital camera with auto-focus and Macro mode 32x digital zoom Xenon flash with mF illuminator assist Shutter button with auto-focus (press half-way to auto-focus, fully to capture) Red-eye reduction PictBridge & DPOF Image Stabilization BestPic - takes 9 successive images of the same subject in full resolution to choose the best shot(s) QCIF (176x144) resolution video recording at 15 FPS in 3GP format does the zte blade lack any of these features? thanks.
Guest schkinx Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 just about all of them unfortunately

The camera on the SF is pathetic, much worse than the one of the k800i and has no flash. The videos it produces are even worse than the photos.
Guest shakerist Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 I came from k800 because wwll i wanted tp browse internet effectively on my phone and the various other android apps but camera is a flop and i can barely hear the phone ringin or vibratein for that matter other than the mentioned its great oh and battery life is not as good but yeah i wont be returning to to the k800 i wrote this reply from the blade (srry for typos)
Guest targetbsp Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 I upgraded from the K800 and love the SF. But I never used the camera on the K800. The problem you're going to encounter is that the main selling point of the K800 was it's camera. So if you;re used to using that I'd think a lot of phones aren't going to look as good in comparison. The SF's though - is particularly bad!
Guest tabor56 Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 I used to have a k800i, the san francisco is like a million times better. but i have yet to have a phone that comes near to the k800i camera.
Guest magicpork Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 SF is better...period...(if you dont't use the camera much) i'm only taking pics from my mobile for twitter....so the quality is still acceptable...
