Guest Epic-Emodude Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 Hi all, When CM6.1 Beta 0.2 came out, I installed it on my phone. It was mega fast and the best thing that ever happened to my phone. I loved it. Today my phone is almost unusable. Over time it seems to have become gradually slower, locking up more and more often, to the point where today I turned it on and most core apps forced closed. Has anyone else had anything simular? Anyone know why? Thanx Aaron
Guest grcd Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 I can verify that this happens to me too.
Guest AntonioPT Posted November 9, 2010 Report Posted November 9, 2010 I've been using CM 0.3 for a couple of days, and with the tips I mentioned on the main CM topic, my phone is very fast, haven't got a single FC since I installed it, and I haven't noticed any slowdowns. Why don't you try to reflash CM 0.3 (use this guide by twrock, it's awesome), apply my tips and then let it run for a few days to see if you still have slowdowns?

When its started getting worse, I was trying to hold out until 0.4 came out, but I dont think that will happen any time soon. Oh well
Guest rulerofkaos Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Maybe you ca try to wipe the dalvik cache. Flibblesan mentioned somewhere that it speeds up the rom.
Guest Daz555 Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Wiping dalvik cache along with using a util like cachemate keeps everything tip top. Also removing the last dozen or so crap apps you never use ca help.
Guest TaiwanCHT8k Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 if you have dta2sd installed, you may as well use its dalvik cache erasing commands clockwork recovery does not properly wipe dalvik when the cache is stored in the SD
Guest starkos Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 I would try the fixing apk uid mismatches in AmonRA (think there's something in clockwork/rom manager too?), I believe this is a common fix for when apps start force closing. As others said above I would also wipe dalvik cache & use the repair sd ext option in AmonRA as well...
