difference between 'google contact' and 'pc sync' contact?

I have numbers in my phone book that show up as either google contact or pc sync contact, any idea which I should be using, and why?

Google contact = Contact stored in your Gmail address book

PC Sync contact = Contact synced on your PC using LG software.

You do not need to sync your contacts with the PC anymore as Android will save them to your Gmail account and you can even edit and add them from there.

Guess I'll go in and replace the PC Sync contacts with Google ones.
