Wallpaper Resolution

Sounds a strange question but what is the wallpaper resolution, i tried 480x800 but when you come to set it the orange box only works on a 1:1 ratio so i tried 480x480 but that didnt work either. Trying to make a wall paper with some text in the home square but cos i cant work out how big the resolution is or at least the res of each of the 5 panels i cant have it on the center one without it spreading over. Any ideas?
