Guest tyrol_gangster Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Hello can someone please help me find advanced settings or an .apk to control how often various apps sync data? New to ZTE and Android, all I have come accross so far are the two on/off switches for "background data" and "auto-sync", moreover (1) imho the difference between the two is not even properly explained and (2) you don't even see the default intervals anywhere :-frustrated What I am looking for is a way to define sync intervals for: - specific net connection type (wifi/data) - specific applications (gcal/gmail/other) - specific service network (home/roaming) - specific times of day (working/sleeping) It would be most appreciated if sb could point me to the right direction...

I expect Tasker could be configured to do most of that if you cant find an app.
Guest goatee Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 JuiceDefender will do most of that - not sure if Ultimate Juice (paid for extension) will do the rest, but take a look. Guest belgotux Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 Hello, You can also use an app to active or not the 3G connexion, it's not what you search but pending : APNdroid He have a widget, just click on it  SYS, Gaetan
Guest UncleFista Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 I use juice defender pro. I have it set to use wifi/3g 1minute in every 15 when the screen is off. It switches both back on when the screen lights up. Which has the benefit of fixing the wifi conn whenyou wake your phone. It's also set to switch connectivity off at night.
Guest ejhollin Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 I think BatteryFu does it. Not sure if it's any better than JuiceDefender though. It's free on the Marketplace. http://tobykurien.blogspot.com/2010/08/bat...pplication.html
