Guest jporch316 Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 LG have now announced on there website that Updates are available GT540 Optimus to Android 2.1 Eclair Great - ive been wondering when 2.1 would be released ............................... oh .......... hang on - ive already done it
Guest cooperzetec Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 i am proper annoyed with lg at the mo. bought another gt540 today. updated it through the pc suite and it stopped at 30%, rang them and at first they just said sorry we cant help you. in the end after much shouting and a few managers they said you can send it in to our repair centre. i cant believe that they were so unhelpful and werent gonna do anything. *so a word of caution to everyone who is gonna update through the pc suite. it can crash same as kdz and if it does dont expect any help from lg at all* good luck

Guest kapslock Posted November 11, 2010 Report Posted November 11, 2010 H cooperzetec, you bought another one?? What happened to your original GT540? I have sent mine in for repair, not through CPW but straight to LG. It actually died

LG are sending me some packaging to send it to them. maybe they can fix it.

Guest ilovelg Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Fallow the guide, http://android.modaco.com/content/lg-gt540...ference-thread/ You cant be the only one in the world so special that it wont work for you
Guest shoarmabakpao Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 (edited) Apparrantly I am. I have done this a dozen times. I just quit trying and waited for the oficial update. And even that didn't work for me. I'm not the only one though  EDIT: I didn't saw the part of using front-side USB, I always have done that. Flashed my Samsung omnia 2, Sony Ericsson X1 and an HTC HD2 on the same pc on the front-usb panel so I thought it would work but after I read this I will try to do this again.
