Dell Streak - Now on Orange & Vodafone - Fake site?

I was browsing for the Streak on google, and saw a news page saying that there is a website, Bestmobilephones, that are now selling contract's on both Orange and Vodafone. Closer inspection always leads to this 1 website, nowhere else appears to sell on contract other than O2.

Is this site and fake and never to be trusted, or is this genuine and can now buy on these 3 networks, depending what you prefer?

Hi dancemb

Well a link to the site may of helped us decide as i can't find it with either a .co.uk or .com address but there are independent retailers that buy handsets and then connect them to various networks bundled and get the commission from the Network to offset the phone price so its not impossible to be legitimate. But as i said a link may help us decide if its for real or a scam.

Do a google search for the company name, see what info you can find on them

Hi dancemb,

Well it doesn't look like a fake site to me and they have an address and landline phone number which are the things fake sites never tend to have but if you do a Google search on them and look at their customer reviews it doesn't really look like a company i would want to risk doing business with you can read customer comments here

its probably that they will buy you an unlocked streak to use on vodaphone. these people get paid lots for every contract they sell and i wouldnt be surprised if they can subsidize an unlocked streak to the price of o2 one under contract.

The phone returns address matches the whois registered address for the ltd company, the only difference is the phone number on the whois trace links to a property developers website (when googled), the email address of the registrant twsl.co.uk points to a parked domain but the site has been registered since 2001.

I certainly will not be going with this company, just not trust worthy enough, and every review I managed to find over the weekend said some very bad things about them, its just not worth it just in case they start messing me around like they have everybody else.

Im going to be getting a Dell Streak in about 3 weeks time now (plenty in time before xmas) so I have until the beginning/mid december to find the best deal available. I just hope there is a pre-xmas special deal available somewhere that I can jump on.

At the moment, im torn between going O2 with the contract, or buying the phone outright and going with a SIM free Vodafone deal
