Headphone out...

I took my Blade to my car and plugged it into my stereo aux-in... I can playback music through my car stereo just fine, listen to satnav, etc.

And when I make a call, this also comes out through my car stereo... BUT...

It also disables the on-board mic on the phone, so nobody can hear me.

I assume I need some sort of adaptor with the mic on the cable?

Help?

I think you're right. The stock earphones have a mic built into them. Maybe there is a way of enabling the SF mic by default rather than the earphone one, like a profile or something.

On a similar note I was thinking that I need something similar to plug some decent stereo headphones into ('cos the stock ones are cr4p). I have an old Sony with exactly that, a lead plugs into the phone, on the other end is a standard female mini jack with built-in mic.

If anyone knows where to get such a thing for the Blade, that should solve both our problems.

Mod the original headset into the microphone with 3,5mm jack for headphones...

Buy yourself a decent jack, cut the cables above the mic part, solder the jack on and you're done.
