Ive been noticing that people have been creating dropbox accounts using my referral link on the first page but havent been installing the dropbox client here: https://www.dropbox.com/install

This is important to complete the referral status and for both of us to get the 250mb so please please install it

Could you do a flashable zip which could replace the adw launcher to zeam launcher? Because I can install zeam, but the adw will run all the time in the background. I know there are 3 types of people who love adw, who love launcher pro, and zeam. The best would be, if there would be 2 flashable zip with the other 2 launcher which isn't in the actual main rom. Thanks in advance.

Installed CM6 AIO v4

Clean install, so a full wipe

But after install I'm missing all the Apps from GAPS.

So, no Terminal, ROM Manager, etc.

Now installing clean CM6 v4

after that I will do an 'upgrade' to AIO

Terminal you can get from the market, rom manager had to be removed as it broke a2sd and you flash the google apps using the zip on the first page

ROM Manager does not break A2SD. The removal of ROM Manager is simply a way of freeing space on the /system partition in order to have enough free space to flash A2SD.

Richard, you can install ROM Manager from the market and A2SD will continue to work (apps from the market go to /data).

Doing that now, just click on the "main and optional stuff" link and its all there, just got zeam left, done the gingerbread launcher and launcherpro

I read about it as soon as 0.4 came out so I was just doing as advised which was to remove rommanager from /system/app so a2sd will work

I did know that you can install rom manager from the market

Strange I could have sworn I read that if the rom manager was in the /system/app folder then a2sd wont work so I just removed it and left it at that

Yes, removing Rom Manager does indeed fix the problem, I was just saying that it's not specifically Rom Manager that causes the problem, it's just the lack of space on /system. You could have removed Twitter, or Facebook, or Maps, or any other app residing on the system partition and it would fix the problem.

I refined the answer you are quoting but ill say it again, I read about it a day after the release of 0.4 so when people were having problems and when someone said that removing rommanager will fix the a2sd problem I just done what was advised, I didnt know what the problem was, anyway lets leave it at that

Thanks for the flashable zips. I've tested zeam and unfortunately its not working properly, I mean the adw is still there. :) I hope you can fix it.

I've flashed the Zeam zip through recovery again, and the Adw is still under the running application tab. I can stop it, but I can't uninstall it. I really don't know why. Maybe it can't be solve. :) But thanks for trying.

hello,

maybe i have overlooked it but i still have a wifi reconnection problem. when i enable my wifi, then turn off the screen, after a while turn on the screen. the phone will not automatically reconnect to my wireless.

This is a bug in cm6.1 port in general so its a bug in this rom and the original rom from tom, I think this bug isnt in the official cm roms

The best I can say you do is install blade wifi fix which turns the wifi off then back on as soon as you turn on the screen and unlock it or wait for someone to find the fix

Wow, amazing how "common knowledge" gets to be common. Enough of us "solved" the DT Apps2SD problem by removing RomManager, so we all assumed it was that specific app. But really, we're just back to a space problem! Crazy.

But is Tom's 0.4 larger than 0.3? Is there more in /system/apps? Because I did try 0.4 and Flib's Gapps as a fresh install and had the problem. In 0.3, there was enough space, and I didn't have that problem there.

But, I think there are plenty of apps that are better put into /data anyway for future updating purposes. Better to fill the rom with apps that aren't likely to change and are more critical to getting the initial system to run well.

I would say the /system/app folder isnt the issue, its the other folders which contains a lot more files in them compared to a normal 2.1 rom so I guess it can be fine tuned a bit

Back on 0.3, 0ne of the files I deleted for my "personal" rom was the bootanimation. Did I unknowingly create the necessary space for my additional apps by doing that? Am I correct in concluding that space created anywhere in /system is space available for additional apps in /system/app?
