Guest Kihon Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Just noticed that samdroid are able to add flash lite to the spica http://forum.samdroid.net/f9/samdroidmod-k...-i5700-en-1901/ is there any way we could add it to the SF as well?
Guest chall32 Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Well here is the flash lite how to for the Spica: http://forum.samdroid.net/f28/howto-flash-...owser-too-1688/ Looks simple enough.....
Guest Kihon Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Well here is the flash lite how to for the Spica: http://forum.samdroid.net/f28/howto-flash-...owser-too-1688/ Looks simple enough..... I think they are using a recovery image from another samsung phone. I dont think we can use the same means to do it. However if the kitchen (link I posted before) allows adding flash to their normal build, then maybe there is a way to add it to non spica builds as well?
Guest MDCFan Posted November 12, 2010 Report Posted November 12, 2010 Flashed recovery zip file and installed apk. Does not seem to work for me.
Guest Kihon Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Flashed recovery zip file and installed apk. Does not seem to work for me. Actually I wasnt expecting the recovery to work on the ZTE - its meant for a different phone. However, given that they were able to (via the kitchen) add flash lite to their custom builds, would it not be possible to add it to a build for the ZTE as well? I guess this question is to the Rom devs... Thanks Kihon
Guest Rem1x Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 They got it working on the pulse, look in their forums.

Guest Stryke69 Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 I thought Froyo already has this feature?
Guest Kihon Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 Unfortunately Froyo only provides the framework for flash to run. Adobe provide the flash player itself, however they are only providing a version which requires Armv7 core, whereas the SF only has an Armv6 core, and as a result we cannot install it. The ROM above includes flash lite, but it wont work with the browser (possibly because 2.1 doesnt properly support flash plugins.). If included in Froyo it may well work. Here's hoping!
Guest EMMJAY Posted November 16, 2010 Report Posted November 16, 2010 There is many flash light programs available on the market. I personally use FlashLight, and it does v.good job. Can someone highlight benefits of the 'flash lite' app on the Spica

Can someone highlight benefits of the 'flash lite' app on the Spica It's not flash light as in torch. It's a stripped down version of Adobe's Flash plugin for phones.
