Stock recovery restore to 1.6

Hi can anyone help me i have flashed back to stock recovery from a custom recovery i have downloaded stock o2 1.6 rom i boot into stock recovery fine chose option 2 update from sd and all i get is a blank screen next the 1.6 update.pkg is on the sd card and i have renamed it to update.pkg have tried factory reset and tried again still no luck can anyone help please.

Try renaming to Update.pkg. Make sure you have installed the correct recovery image for 1.6: http://www.mediafire.com/?2h5iso37wg7oun8

thank for the reply i found a way to install a modded stock recovery on xda and it all worked back to stock 1.6 and then 2.1 ready for froyo 2.2.
