Guest arunhallan Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 looks much better! the guy did it himself http://www.bornsloppy.co.uk/after-custom.htm
Guest yatpeak Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I like it, however I think the silver looks better. Wyatt
Guest The Futures Bright Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I agree with bob, looks very cheap n tacky and what will it look like when the black paint starts to chip off  , much prefer my silver SPV. :)
Guest vampyre69 Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I think its different no better no worse however a 'midnight blue' maybe matellic would definatly look cool dark blue and silver always go hand in hand. This guy must have a few of these nocking around or he's loaded. Nice seeing that the phone is a pre-release too. rather interesting. I got offered a 'pre-release' phone the otherday £300 the dodgy dave wanted for it! £300 no thanks fella I think you can palm it off to some other mug. Paul - Is it true that some of the pre-releases were alreading de-certified and unlocked?
Guest HelloDave Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 what will it look like when the black paint starts to chip off The same as a standard one after you've owned it for a few months
Guest spv_user Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 orange dk i heard dont mind the paint jobs
Guest sebset Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 FYI: This phone was painted by Galaga, the french webmaster of www.smartphony.org I painted mine in gold like the first edition of the SE t68 :)
Guest bibon Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 looks much better! I totally agree!! :) It is beautiful!
Guest muude Posted February 9, 2003 Report Posted February 9, 2003 To the people who've already painted their phone: Can we get some pics PLEASE?! I'm thinking of painting mine in an UV-color...
Guest DJHope Posted February 9, 2003 Report Posted February 9, 2003 How about a two-tone metallic ocean color?
Guest cyrilthefish Posted February 9, 2003 Report Posted February 9, 2003 i might have to do that myself soon, i've only had the phone a few months and a lot of the paint is scrathing off allready!
Guest spiderboy Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 maybe something to match my matalic blue car
Guest xanadu Posted February 10, 2003 Report Posted February 10, 2003 It's horrid, and tacky. Well, if it isn't now, then it will be after a few weeks use :) ;)
Guest Chris b.a.r.f. Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 It's horrid, and tacky. Well, if it isn't now, then it will be after a few weeks use :) ;) Think it looks good. Adey (the guy who did it) has used two coats of paint; it can hardly be *less* hardwearing than the original; mine looks like old shite after only 2 months. Going to paint it, thinking about fluoro green then a good hardwearing matt-varnish/sealant. Now it's a question of having the guts to split the phone apart.... :D
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Interesting fact, I spent today with Patrice, and I saw his black phone - pretty cool! The paint finish could be better, but it definitely looks 'different'! P

Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 If i had a Porsche it would be black...
