Can anyone suggest me a remote desktop program tested & working on Samsung Omnia Pro B7610 (with Windows Mobile 6.5)?

Here is a remote desktop program. This one works on 6.5.x but I am not sure if it works for 6.5.

GRemote works btw pretty well, I have used it. But you have to be careful using firewalls since they like to block GRemote. You have to know that GRemote only allows your phone to be an input device (mouse or keyboard), so you have to see the screen of the computer.

Remote desktop allows you to use the computer even if the screen is turned of since you get the entire desktop on your phone. If you have many icons on your desktop this is not a good idea I think.

You are welcome :rolleyes:. I assumed you have Windows, then it is necessary that you have a professional version (or higher) of XP, Vista or 7. Then you can allow users to login to the computer using remote desktop. You can check your version of Windows by right clicking "Computer" on your desktop (at least, if it is not a shortcut) and selecting "Properties". On the left there is a tab called "Remote Settings", if you have the right version of Windows you should be able to enable remote desktop. Note, this is NOT remote assistance!!!

Furthermore I do not know if you are behind a router but it might be useful to define a port forward in your router to get it working, especially if you have multiple computers in you network which are available for remote desktop. You can specify the port on your phone by entering the IP address followed by ":port" (example: 130.89.24.55:495). And you have forwarded port 495 to 3389, the standard port for remote desktop. Here is a very small tutorial for configuring the router. In XP you can change the port number by editing the following register key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber

mind that you use the 'decimal'.

If you do not have the right version of Windows it becomes a little bit harder and you need 3rd party software such as Mocha. Here is the download page and if you are not planning to use it for more than 30 days this might be the solution. I have never used it so I do not know anything about the quality.

I made it!

After some initial problems with port forwarding and public IP (I have Fastweb as internet provider), I managed to use the program and it is really great!
