Idiots guide to orange app removal on ZTE Blade

Hi guys, I'm in need of some help.

firstly I've trawled this forum and most help I've found have either been complex or links to software broken.

All I want to do is remove the orange apps and services from the handset.

can you help???

Well I have not rooted my phone but I found a picture of my bike online and set that as my wallpaper. If you try and take an orange icon off the home screen it seems to not let you but if you select the icon and use two hands to hit the bin icon at the same time they go. I then use "app killer"to stop everything from running in the background.HTH!
