HELP NEEDED. Stuck at boot logo/green man

So, I was playing Angry Birds, but the screen froze, so I decided to remove the battery. Now I can't get further than the boot logo/green man when I start the phone. I've tried to remove the battery and leaving it out for some time. I'm running the original Orange ROM. Anybody got a clue what to do? And if it's do:able without rooting it?

EDIT: Problem solved. For some reason it booted normally after leaving it for a while. Why - I don't though.
