Guest Frankish Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 I'm selling my Desire and buying a San Fran. I just hope that there is a decent enough froyo release and i should be fine. Bit worried looking at all the kernel source stuff...will it ever happen? Am i crazy or is it a good move? I'll have a decent Android phone and money in my pocket. Just hope i can find someone that will buy it for a decent price. Is £250 too much to ask?
Guest jonathonf Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 Wait - you're selling a very good top-end phone that has huge development efforts and buying a low-end phone that is pretty much unsupported? One piece of advice - don't. Seriously. I bought the SanFran as an "upgrade" to my Hero, and although the SF definitely has superior CPU and screen the overall experience is much worse. Yes, it will get better, but for the minute I'd stick with an HTC.
Guest mELIANTE Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 If you need the money, you need the money. If you don't, or if you bought the Desire on a whim and you don't need it then maybe you'll think the SanFran is enough. Don't get me wrong, the SanFran is a great little phone, but a Desire is a Desire
Guest spences10 Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 i'll give you my san fran rooted, unlocked, running 2.1 or 2.2 overclocked if you like as well + £150 in exchange for your desire
Guest Frankish Posted November 14, 2010 Report Posted November 14, 2010 Not sure you would want to do that. Desire has a few dings on the corners. Also trackpad doesn't scroll. Click works like trackpad unlock etc but scrolling with it doesn't. The screen is absolutely perfect though no marks. The dings are not bad enough to be seen in pictures but i wouldn't want to sell it without telling the person. Too honest lol.

Guest Frankish Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 I see the phone as fully working as i never used the trackpad to scroll anyway. I want a San Fran and a little bit of money in my pocket really. I don't really game etc so having a 1ghz processor isn't the be all end all for me. And i'm currently using a stock rom too so wont miss sense as there are decent replacements.
