Guest galewis Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I've downloaded a coiuple of MP3's to my SPV, and they play fine, except for like the last 2 seconds of every file won't play. It appears it simply cuts off and goes to the next track. Anyone else have this problem? :)
Guest Firaas Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 Yeah, the SPV seems to cut off the last bits of each track. It's a problem which has been reported on the forum before, though I don't think it's been logged on BugTrack.
Guest casper508 Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 If it really bothers you then you can use any MP3 editor/mixer like Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer and add a few second silence at the end of the track. It an arsey method and I havent tried it myself but it think this should solve the problem. Cheers Cas
Guest Carnivor Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 I found that by converting them to 128kbps wma files the ends of the tracks stay on, and they are more effecient when playing back, ie, not as jumpy when doing other stuff
Guest yatpeak Posted February 9, 2003 Report Posted February 9, 2003 I've never noticed this problem, but then again, I don't pay much attention... Wyatt

Works every time, the whole song gets transferred without the end getting cut off...

Cool...though i haven't had any problem or maybe im too busy playing games that I havent noticed. :) But thanks for the reader trick. Cas
Guest yatpeak Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 Thanks, I just tried it again and I did notice the cutting off. Just one little problem, when I get music off CDs, it says that they are not licensed and will not play them. The only way I can get around this is to send them to my phone through WMP. Any suggestions? Thanks, Wyatt
Guest Bazz Posted February 11, 2003 Report Posted February 11, 2003 One suggestion: SEARCH!!! http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1316

Any suggestions? I don't use WMP at all, hate it - too cumbersome. To rip CD-tracks I use CD-DA X-tractor with the bladeEnc dll. It works perfectly, freedb lookups, choice of bitrates and so on. Cracking stuff.
