Factory Data Reset?

I have rooted and flashed and unlocked my San Fran, if I do a factory data reset, without the sd card in, what date will I lose?

Will it stay flashed/unlocked/rooted?

Or will I have to do it all again?

thats what factory reset is there for. use it. leave the sdcard in, it wont wipe the fat partition, but there might be apps on it you want to be wiped as well.

Is this the best way to prepare for a new ROM that recommends everything is wiped. If so, how do I then restore all the apps & data that I have or do I just do a Titanium backup and then restore after the ROM upgrade.

Connect it to a computer and copy all the apps, or copy them to a folder on the SD card perhaps? Then copy back after the reset.
