Guest flopyro Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 is it possible to have the caller photo on the whole screen (i took a picture to show u how) i googled it, and i have found out that android stores the pictures at a low resolution beacuse of the space this pictures take. i think there is another APP that let's u set the caller photo at a bigger resolution. i'm more experienced with WM, and on that devices you have Resco photo manager - to set the caller photo, and S2U2 for a fullscreen caller photo. my question: is there an app to do that on adroid to? or on our SF an option? i would like to see fullscreen caller ID, is it possible ? thanks !

Guest synet Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Yeah, I want it too. I also used to use Resco on my Touch HD. I think the SF (or Android) crops the photos too!!
Guest flopyro Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 i found this on XDA-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=576310 so we need to modify the Phone.apk and in there, they are a lot of XML files, has anybody a clue with what program i can open thouse ? because with a simple notepad it doesn't work !

You'd be better to crop and then resize the photos using a decent image-processing program (PhotoShop?) They look best when the SF does NOT have to scale them! Ideal size seems to be about 200x200 pixels. (I think 192x192 seems very plausible.) http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...g-contact-pics/ All change when someone makes it go full-screen, but until then ...
Guest xzyk Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 (edited) there was an app on the market called 'FullScreen Caller', but i can't see it there anymore, must have been withdrawn. I tried it and it did seem to work but had one of two FC with it, maybe that's why it was withdrawn. Google may be your friend here. Edited November 15, 2010 by xzyk
