Guest mmicha Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 This is great news! However, if we purchased an unlocked US Streak (as "unlocked" US Streaks are initially set for use with ATT even though you purchased them "unlocked"), do we still get the update starting today? Which baseband are the US Streaks purchased "unlocked" running on? Thanks, Michael

Guest Fone_Fanatic Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Theres already a thread discussing this. http://android.modaco.com/content/dell-str...ething-happens/ And i'm gonna go with fards and say they're gonna go with the baseband.
Guest mmicha Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 They use 00 baseband Actually, I checked and on my ATT 1.6 Streak purchased direct from DELL unlocked, baseband appears to be 31
Guest Kohawk Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Actually, I checked and on my ATT 1.6 Streak purchased direct from DELL unlocked, baseband appears to be 31 Yeah this goes back to the ol' 'unlocked' vs 'contract free' topic. If you describe your phone as an 'Unlocked AT&T' streak, your still an AT&T phone and at their mercy, just not locked in a contract with them. AFAIK no such thing as a truely 'unlocked' US phone. We should get the AT&T update around Dec 3rd, so not too far.
Guest Cue_32 Posted November 15, 2010 Report Posted November 15, 2010 Stephen's 1.2 ROM is showing me as GAUSB1A130500-US. With Custom Recovery I wont be able to load it but, Does that mean I will get the notification?
