Replacement back case for ZTE blade (Current one cracked!)

Hi guys,

Ive search around with little/no sucess so any leads would by great!

Cleverly ive dropped my new phone today, cracking the small piece of glass covering the camera. Besides that is great - with the help of the guys on here Ive manage to root and debrand etc! So my question is does anyone have an idea if i could get a replacement case from somewhere? And if so, where?

I know it might be a shot in the dark but im gutted!

the camera cover is thought by many to degrade the quality of the pictures, there is some proof of this, (and indeed if you look through it it does some to blur light) so rather than get a new case - which I doubt you can yet - you might be best drilling through it and getting rid entirely.

I bought my grey SF weeks ago meanwhile it is availible in white so I'm looking for a white cover.

Any ideas?

Oh really? Do you have any more info on that?

its here on this forum, you'll have to do a bit of searching but even with the cracked case you could take a couple of photos and see if you can tell any difference

Finding a replacement does seem to be very difficult, however it looks like i have managed to get one. Thought id let people know, just incase anyone else is as clumsy as me.

After searching and searching the net, i decided to ring orange! A long shot, or so i thought, but worth a go never the less. I spoke to a lovely geordie lady who said not to worry - they could send me out another one free of charge. I just had to use my orange sim (still not used as now unlocked to giff gaff!) and then they would be able to see the phone.

I rang back the next day to order it and i was then told i could get a replacement as a pay as you go customer. I was also told Id have to go instore to see if they had any, and if they didnt they could order me one at a price (didnt know how much).

So I waited a few hours and tried again. This time sucess! I was passed around a bit but ended up being told a replacement was in the post and I should get it next Monday.

Lets hope it arrives!

I've used these guys http://cnn.cn/shop/index.php a few times in the past.

No Blade or San Francisco parts yet, but if they ever do stock them I can vouch for the quality. Rebuilt a couple of phones (SE's) with their parts and the quality is close to or equal to OEM.

I would appreciate it if you do get hold of one. Orange never dispatched the cover - and despite my pleading phone calls no cover on its way.

Anyone see any other options around? Still cant source one. Only thing i havent tried yet is going into an orange shop and seeing if I can order one (and id rather avoid orange if possible). Tried ringing last night to see if I would have any better luck over the phone....I was on hold waiting to get picked up for 65 minutes before I gave up!

I know their CS sucks but give it a try. Desire thread post 4 - got a brand new rear cover by just asking. It's worth a go.

I've prodded my source at ZTE again, he seems pleased that we got the blade to no1 on the XDA poll so hopefully will be sending me some spare backs. I'm assuming they will be the original black/grey rather than white.

UPDATE: my guy has found some spares and will be sending them soon, will let you know. Will probably cost roughly 4 quid depending on how I decide to post etc. The forum rules say I can't sell directly so I may have to put them in the ebay section, If you need one PM me and I will make sure you know when they arrive.
